We are bookending your week, every week with a couple of podcast episodes that we hope can provide insights on how to be a better marketer, sales pro, or operator in your B2B company.
Last week was a big week at The Juice. We launched Smarter Distribution to help B2B brands get their content to the right audience at the right time and see the ROI to prove it. Brand partners of The Juice have been using Smarter Distribution for a few months now and are seeing a 390% Content ROI with the new product features. I wrote a piece on what I believe Smarter Distribution means for marketers for more context.
Also, we closed out the week by talking to Tom Coburn, Co-founder and CEO of Jebbit about leading a company through a decade + of digital changes. I love talking to CEOs about marketing. I especially love talking to CEOs who’ve built a business on the back of content.

I’ve been doing this marketing thing in SaaS for a long time and I’m not sure I can ever remember a period of time as wild as the last 12 months. There’s been a myriad of things that have taken place that are outside of our control, however, we must adapt to it in real time in order to continue to do our jobs. The entire Silicon Valley Bank of it all was something I didn’t have on my bingo card, but thought it might be interesting to share with you how we managed through it as a business.
I spoke with Jonathan about how he managed through the process and communicated with the rest of the team while things were happening. Things ended up working out for The Juice, but only time will tell the long term effects of the SVB disaster on the industry.
In this episode we cover:
- Silicon Valley Bank downfall: The story of how we found out and managed through the process
- Transparency: Why defaulting towards transparency as a leader works best
- Smarter Distribution: Why we still decided to launch a new product amidst the chaos
