We are bookending your week, every week with a couple of podcast episodes that we hope can provide insights on how to be a better marketer, sales pro, or operator in your B2B company.
Giving talks on platforms outside of your own is a great way to level up as a marketer.
Last week I got the opportunity to participate in Elevate, a virtual summit about all things content presented by Pepper Content. Anirudh Singla and his team have done a wonderful job of “elevating” the position of the content marketer and it was awesome to help contribute to the conversation.
After my session on, “Maximizing Content Marketing ROI with Generative AI” wrapped I couldn’t stop thinking about the process of preparation that went down before hitting the stage. I got a chance to reflect on The Juice's position on several different topics, revisit our messaging, and refine talking points that I wanted to use to convey our point of view on specific subjects.
Jumping on events like Elevate, collaborations with industry peers, and other content opportunities has made me a better marketer. It’s not just the exposure that your brand gets from participating, but it’s also the prep work that no one ever talks about that can be just as rewarding.
We launched a new event series Content Distribution Live and hoping to give other marketers the opportunity to experience the same process as I went through in the build up to Elevate. The first episode will be on April 6 at 11:00 am est with Justin Simon around, “How to Find Growth with a Distribution First Approach”. We dropped an episode earlier this week to talk about the process of preparing for events.
Conversion has always been important and should be a top priority for any marketer regardless of role. Modern day marketing pushes us all to focus on building brand and doing whatever we can do to deliver value to our future customers, but that doesn’t mean we need to pull back the reins on doing whatever we can to optimize around conversion. That’s why I wanted to talk about it with someone who lives and breathes website conversion everyday.
Jane Serra is the VP of Marketing at Justuno, a conversion automation platform. She’s also the Founder and podcast host of “Women in B2B Marketing.” Jane is an expert on optimizing website conversion rates. Getting lots of traffic to your site isn’t enough, if they aren’t becoming customers. She wants modern-day marketers to get over their “conversion aversion” and personalize the funnel.
In this episode we cover:
- Optimize what’s working: Finding ways to double down on what’s working and drop what’s not
- Personalization: Why creating experiences around personalization might take more time, but is worth it in the end
- Exit offers: How to develop a strategy around exit offers that resonates with your next customer
